This past Wednesday, our sorority prayer call focus was to remember that God is our refuge, a very present help in the time of trouble. As we continue to navigate through this time of COVID-19, the civil unrest, the fear to go out, the reality of police brutality and killings, the protests that are going on around the world in the middle of a pandemic, and having to defend why Black Lives Matter is prevalent ~ we need a refuge!!
The Scriptures and devotionals that were shared gave us a sense of comfort and a sense of purpose. As we pursue peace for the city where we reside, we are simultaneously pursuing peace for ourselves. Let’s remember we are being called to be light in dark places. Let us help others to see the transcendent stability in the Presence of God. Remind yourself by saying: “I am a light bearer!”
Choose to be well!
